Children's Special Programs

In addition to our many weekly activities, St. Luke's also offers many special programs for children throughout the year. Below you'll find a brief overview of some of our programs. Please contact Heather Griffis or Karen Carruth, Directors of Children's Ministries, if you have any questions or would simply like more information.

Babysitting Course
This class is offered for 6th graders and older during the month of January.
"Learning to Use My Bible"
6-week course beginning in September for current 3rd graders, who receive their own Bible as a special gift from the St. Luke's congregation. This class helps them learn to study and memorize scripture and to find their way through both the Old and New Testaments.
Master's Kids - Wednesday Night Master's Program
Age-appropriate children's classes are held every week during the St. Luke's Wednesday Night Master's Program. Through a wide variety of games, group activities, crafts, music and storytelling, children experience God's Word and learn to use apply the Bible to their own lives.
Created By God

This is a 6-week study for current 5th and 6th graders that looks at human sexuality through biblical teachings. The class discusses God’s plan for boys and girls in an ever-changing world and uses curriculum written by the United Methodist Church. The course takes place during February-March of each year.

Vacation Bible School
St. Luke's Vacation Bible School takes place every summer during the first week in June. VBS is held Monday through Friday of that week, from 9:30 AM until noon. All children age 3 by September 1st of the previous year through 6th grade are invited to attend.
