The mission of Parish Wellness and Care is to integrate faith and health in order for the people of the congregation and community to achieve physical, emotional, social and spiritual wholeness. Services are provided by the Parish Nurse and Team Volunteers. Volunteers for this ministry are welcome. Services Provided
Health Promotion: Activities and classes to promote health for the whole person - body, mind and spirit.
Support Groups: Support for health issues such as weight management, exercise and others
Referral Assessments: Assessments of needs and referrals to appropriate community resources
Health Counseling: Post-hospitalization visits; Bereavement care; Counseling regarding physical, emotional and spiritual health issues.
Eligibility
Anyone seeking services is eligible to participate. Members of the congregation and community are encouraged to request services for themselves or others in need.
Costs
Services are provided without charge. Donations are accepted.
Referrals
Appropriate referrals to community resources will be made to those with needs beyond the scope of this ministry.
Confidentiality
As with all health providers, all information obtained through this ministry is kep strictly confidential.
